Background: On Aug. 9, 2008, Governor Mike Easley signed into law SB 1967, which makes permanent several revisions to the state's Coastal Stormwater Rule. The text of the newly revised rule may be viewed through a link below.
This final bill was the result of a stakeholder meeting process that included representatives of the regulated community, environmental advocacy groups, state and local governments and many other organizations.
