SPPP Development Tools

In coordination with NC State University's Industrial Extension Service (IES), we have created a spreadsheet tool for permittees covered under the General Stormwater Permit for Used Motor Vehicles (NCG100000). This tool is designed to aid Auto Salvage and Scrap Yard operators with developing a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SPPP). The spreadsheet-based tool contains two sections: The first series of spreadsheets is an example SPPP with instructions; the second section is a blank template permittees can "fill in" to create an SPPP. The tool also contains instructions and helpful definitions. A paper copy can be requested from the Stormwater Permitting Unit.

Please Note: NCG100000 was renewed on October 17, 2007 (effective November 1, 2007). Changes are not reflected in the example SPPP Tool.
